Nicole on marriage to Tom:I was a baby

NICOLE KIDMAN has spoken about her marriage to Tom Cruise, asserting that she harbours no regrets about the ill-fated union. The couple met on the set of Days of Thunder and married just after filming wrapped - on Christmas Eve 1990, when Kidman was just 23.

"Any time you have a chance at something again is good, but each combination of people is different," she told The Evening Standard of her second marriage to musician Keith Urban. "I was a baby when I married Tom, but I don't regret any of it."

The couple - who adopted a daughter and a  son, Isabella, born 1992, and Connor, born 1995 - announced their separation in 2001 and, although Kidman expressed her surprise at the time, it seems she is now philosophical about all that went before.

"Be the best you can be, not the worst, and think of the children," she said of that time, noting that her marriage to Urban, and their daughters Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, are the reason that she almost never discusses her 11-year marriage to Cruise: "Out of respect for Keith I tend not to discuss any of that now.
