New movie 'Sanam Teri Kasam'

Himesh Reshammiya, Arijit Singh and Ankit Tiwari hit the right notes for 'Sanam Teri Kasam'

Roping in diverse talent like Himesh Reshammiya, Arijit Singh, Ankit Tiwari and director duo Radhika Rao-Vinay Sapru to collaborate for 'Sanam Teri Kasam' has paid off for producer Deepak Mukut.

Four songs from the film — 'Sanam Teri Kasam' (Ankit and Palak Muchhal), 'Kheech Meri Photo' (Neeti Mohan, Akasa Singh and Darshan Raval), 'Tera Chehra' (Arijit) and 'Bewajah' (Himesh) — have entered the charts, making this album one of the first hits of 2016.

The chemistry between the lead pair, Mawra Hocane and Harshvardhan Rane, and the songs have also struck a chord with Gen X. Radhika recalls Himesh bouncing off the 'Tera Chehra' tune with them while they were working on a song for 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'.

She says, "'Tera Chehra' set the theme of the sound our film needed and we decided to have Himesh on board." Vinay adds, "It translates the pain and longing of the couple so well, we couldn't have had a better number to start the music with." Deepak sums up saying, "This musical love story has so much passion, it needed an equally intense soundtrack. With such proven talents, we've upped the ante of the existing music of Hindi films."

'Sanam Teri Kasam,' produced by Soham Rockstar Productions, releases Feb 5, 2016.
